Welcome to Dundee, Scotland's fourth largest city with a population of 150,000. The city is situated on the east coast of Scotland and lies on the River Tay. Dundee is famous for being the home of many comic characters including 'Oor Wullie' and 'Desperate Dan'.
HOW TO GET TO DUNDEE
Dundee Airport (DND) is very small with domestic flights only. (TIP: consider flying into Glasgow Airport (GLA) or Edinburgh Airport (EDI), and connect to Dundee by train or bus.) If you do fly to Dundee there is a bus service from the airport into the city or you can call one of the local taxi companies. If you prefer to travel by bus or train, both the Seagate Bus Station and Dundee Train Station are located in the city centre.
GETTING AROUND DUNDEE
Dundee is a compact city, and buses are the only form of public transport. A good service is provded by National Express and Stagecoach. There are local trains to and from Dundee Train Station from the surrounding towns. Many students walk or cycle, but if you are returning home late at night, we recommend one of the local taxi companies.
