Welcome to Strasbourg, the official seat of the European Parliament! Strasbourg is situated in eastern France, close to the border with Germany, and is home to 300,000 people. With its proximity to Germany, Switzerland and Italy, Strasbourg is the perfect place to study abroad.

GETTING TO STRASBOURG
Strasbourg Airport (SXB) is located 6 miles west of the city centre, with limited domestic and European flights. There is a regular train service from the airport into the city centre, or if you prefer, you can call one of the local taxi companies. (TIP: another option for international students
is to fly to Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) and connect with Strasbourg via TGV train.) If you are travelling by train, Gare de Strasbourg is located in the city centre. If you are travelling by bus, Strasbourg Bus Station is located opposite the train station in the city centre.

GETTING AROUND STRASBOURG
Public transport in Strasbourg is operated by the CTS (Compagnie des Transports Strasbourgeois). The city is serviced by a metro,
tram and bus network. Both the metro and the tram networks operate 2 lines within the city. The bus network is more extensive and operates throughout the city centre and local suburbs. All public transport is clean and reliable and tickets are inexpensive. Strasbourg also operates the Vélhop bike service, which is an inexpensive bike hire system with hundreds of bike stations throughout the city.
